Are Aliens Transhuman Super Beings?
By admin on Feb 17, 2011 | In Human Survival
I just want to say that what is to follow is pure speculation on my part. There is no factual evidence and this is definitely not a scientific theory. I'm writing this post primarily for entertainment . . . So if you are a scientist friend or a highly religious person, please don't get too upset by this post. It's all in good fun and I don't allow comments on this blog for obvious reasons. So if you are easily offended, read no further.
Since this is a science “fiction” blog, I'm free to imagine all sorts of things and one of the things that comes to mind is whether or not transhuman aliens exist, or will exist in the near or distant future? Assuming a lot of things, such as the technological singularity will occur, that transhuman beings will emerge as a result of human-computer-hybrids, basically the idea of a human mind coupled to an advanced AI.
At least at a brain computer interface level, beyond that of just a super-smart-phone with augmented reality, voice recognition, coupled with a question answer system like Watson. I'm talking nano-machines in the actual meat brain, eventually neurons migrated to complete brain simulation in a artificial computer substrate, “something like” the blue brain project advanced many many years.
Now suppose a civilization of alien intelligent beings naturally do this as a way to technologically evolve new enhanced capabilities, a way of developing further? What if humanity is just at an early stage of development, say a child-like species that has yet to re-engineer itself, especially its intelligence, or at least attempt to fine tune it and amplify.
Look at how long it takes us to mature and learn, that's important to our individuality, but should it take so long? Not to mention how short our life spans are in the larger time frames of the stars and the universe.
Aliens . . . Could that be why they haven't contacted us, because we are just too primitive? Or they don't want to interfere with this stage of our development? Or that they don't exist and any alien species who attempts this is doomed to become extinct?
That may be the reason for the Fermi Paradox. Or is it just that they are too far away in light years and time to communicate with us? Admittedly probably the later is more likely true.
What about the rash of UFO sightings, is this just a delusional public hoping for the aliens to save us from our own destruction? What if they weren't aliens, but future transhumans? Now that's a thought! Could they understand how to time travel as well as travel to the stars? What if time travel into the past weren't possible? Well then there may be another way, what I call a reverse time simulation.
Let's say your an advanced transhuman with access to all the data of the past. You have everything on-file and quickly accessible: Satellite data, credit card purchases, tax records, photos, email conversations, tweets, Facebook, dental records, hi-res brain scan medical records, digital DNA samples, everything generated by our active presence and participation in a technological society, including spy data, such as monitored phone conversations and such.
Let's even say some people eventually, in the forward moving now, wore a helmet-hat that actually ran a sort of EEG on them all the time, transmitting that wireless through your super-smart-phone-app to a data store in the cloud.
Now let's suppose you had a quantum computer at your disposal, in the future, or at least something so fast and powerful you could actually simulate reality in high enough resolution it would be difficult to tell if it was real or simulated. What if you could simulate people as well? If you were a historian living in the future, would you try to run the world as it was in 2011? What if we are in that simulation right now?
Inside the “Matrix” unable to tell if its real or not? Thinking like this could drive you insane, so you would tell many people about it, or maybe you would in your blog . . . If that were truly the case, then the people with the most digital data on file would be those simulated with the highest resolution and fidelity. Now there is a thought, and if this is not a simulation presently, it could still be one someday.
Well it looks like I have gone as far as I can with this idea, but what if future transhumans really are aliens simulating the past and the way they appear to us is in UFOs? Just science fiction food for thought, have a nice simulated day.
Here is an interesting, scientific discussion . . .
